Tehillim Update #56

We just finished Chapter/Kapital 55. Please say Chapter/Kapital 56 in Hebrew or English in honor of Zev ben Leah, Refoel Pinchas ben Chaya Rivkah and all others that are sick! א. לַֽמְנַצֵּ֚חַ עַל־י֬וֹנַת אֵ֣לֶם רְ֖חֹקִים לְדָוִ֣ד מִכְתָּ֑ם בֶּֽאֱחֹ֨ז אוֹת֖וֹ פְלִשְׁתִּ֣ים בְּגַֽת:

ב. חָנֵּ֣נִי אֱ֖לֹהִים כִּֽי־שְׁאָפַ֣נִי אֱנ֑וֹשׁ כָּל־הַ֜יּ֗וֹם לֹחֵ֥ם יִלְחָצֵֽנִי:

ג. שָֽׁאֲפ֣וּ שׁ֖וֹרְרַי כָּל־הַיּ֑וֹם כִּֽי־רַבִּ֨ים לֹֽחֲמִ֖ים לִ֣י מָרֽוֹם:

ד. י֥וֹם אִירָ֑א אֲ֜נִ֗י אֵלֶ֥יךָ אֶבְטָֽח:

ה. בֵּֽאלֹהִים֘ אֲהַלֵּ֪ל דְּבָ֫ר֥וֹ בֵּֽאלֹהִ֣ים בָּ֖טַחְתִּי לֹ֣א אִירָ֑א מַה־יַּֽעֲשֶׂ֖ה בָשָׂ֣ר לִֽי:

ו. כָּל־הַ֖יּוֹם דְּבָרַ֣י יְעַצֵּ֑בוּ עָלַ֖י כָּל־מַחְשְׁבֹתָ֣ם לָרָֽע:

ז. יָג֚וּרוּ יִצְפּ֗וֹנוּ (כתיב יִצְפֹּ֗ינוּ) הֵ֖מָּה עֲקֵבַ֣י יִשְׁמֹ֑רוּ כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֖ר קִוּ֣וּ נַפְשִֽׁי:

ח. עַל־אָ֥וֶן פַּלֶּט־לָ֑מוֹ בְּ֜אַ֗ף עַמִּ֚ים | הוֹרֵ֬ד אֱלֹהִֽים:

ט. נֹדִי֘ סָפַ֪רְתָּה֫ אָ֥תָּה שִׂ֣ימָה דִמְעָתִ֣י בְנֹאדֶ֑ךָ הֲ֜לֹ֗א בְּסִפְרָתֶֽךָ:

י. אָ֚ז | יָ֘שׁ֚וּבוּ אֽוֹיְבַ֣י אָ֖חוֹר בְּי֣וֹם אֶקְרָ֑א זֶ֥ה יָ֜דַ֗עְתִּי כִּֽי־אֱלֹהִ֥ים לִֽי:

יא. בֵּ֣אלֹהִים אֲהַלֵּ֣ל דָּבָ֑ר בַּֽ֜יהֹוָ֗ה אֲהַלֵּ֥ל דָּבָֽר:

יב. בֵּֽאלֹהִ֣ים בָּ֖טַחְתִּי לֹ֣א אִירָ֑א מַה־יַּֽעֲשֶׂ֖ה אָדָ֣ם לִֽי:

יג. עָלַ֣י אֱלֹהִ֣ים נְדָרֶ֑יךָ אֲשַׁלֵּ֖ם תּוֹד֣וֹת לָֽךְ:

יד. כִּ֚י הִצַּ֪לְתָּ נַפְשִׁ֡י מִמָּוֶת֘ הֲלֹ֥א רַגְלַ֗י מִ֫דֶּ֥חִי לְ֖הִתְהַלֵּךְ לִפְנֵ֣י אֱלֹהִ֑ים בְּ֜א֗וֹר הַֽחַיִּֽים:

1. For the conductor, on yonath elem rehokim, of David a michtam, when the Philistines seized him in Gath.

2. Be gracious to me, O God, because men yearn to swallow me; all day long the warrior oppresses me.

3. Those who eye me have yearned to swallow me all day long, for many fight against me, O Most High.

4. The day I fear, I will hope to You.

5. With God, I will praise His word; in God I trusted, I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?

6. All day long, my words grieve [me]; all their thoughts about me are for evil.

7. They lodge, they hide, they watch my steps, when they hope for my life.

8. For iniquity, they expect rescue. Bring down nations with anger, O God.

9. You counted my wanderings; place my tears in Your flask. Is it not in Your accounting?

10. Then my enemies will retreat on the day that I call. Thereby I will know that I have a God.

11. With God['s justice] I will praise a word; with the Lord['s kindness] I will praise a word.

12. In God I trusted, I will not fear. What can man do to me?

13. Upon me, O God, are Your vows; I will pay thanksgiving offerings to You.

14. For You saved my soul from death, even my feet from stumbling, to walk before God in the light of life.
