Tehillim Update #57

We just finished Chapter/Kapital 56. Please say Chapter/Kapital 57 in Hebrew or English in honor of Zev ben Leah, Refoel Pinchas ben Chaya Rivkah and all others that are sick! א. לַֽמְנַצֵּ֣חַ אַל־תַּ֖שְׁחֵת לְדָוִ֣ד מִכְתָּ֑ם בְּבָרְח֥וֹ מִפְּנֵי־שָׁ֜א֗וּל בַּמְּעָרָֽה:

ב. חָנֵּ֚נִי אֱלֹהִ֗ים | חָ֫נֵּ֥נִי כִּ֥י בְךָ֘ חָסָ֪יָה נַ֫פְשִׁ֥י וּבְצֵל־כְּנָפֶ֥יךָ אֶחְסֶ֑ה עַ֖ד יַֽעֲבֹ֣ר הַוּֽוֹת:

ג. אֶקְרָא לֵֽאלֹהִ֣ים עֶלְי֑וֹן לָ֜אֵ֗ל גֹּמֵ֥ר עָלָֽי:

ד. יִשְׁלַ֚ח מִשָּׁמַ֨יִם | וְיֽוֹשִׁיעֵ֗נִי חֵרֵ֣ף שֹֽׁאֲפִ֣י סֶ֑לָה יִשְׁלַ֥ח אֱ֜לֹהִ֗ים חַסְדּ֥וֹ וַֽאֲמִתּֽוֹ:

ה. נַפְשִׁ֚י | בְּת֥וֹךְ לְבָאִם֘ אֶשְׁכְּבָ֪ה לֹֽ֫הֲטִ֥ים בְּֽנֵי־אָדָ֗ם שִׁ֖נֵּיהֶם חֲנִ֣ית וְחִצִּ֑ים וּ֜לְשׁוֹנָ֗ם חֶ֣רֶב חַדָּֽה:

ו. ר֣וּמָה עַל־הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם אֱלֹהִ֑ים עַ֖ל כָּל־הָאָ֣רֶץ כְּבוֹדֶֽךָ:

ז. רֶ֚שֶׁת הֵכִ֨ינוּ | לִפְעָמַי֘ כָּפַ֪ף נַ֫פְשִׁ֥י כָּר֣וּ לְפָנַ֣י שִׁיחָ֑ה נָֽפְל֖וּ בְתוֹכָ֣הּ סֶֽלָה:

ח. נָ֘כ֚וֹן לִבִּ֣י אֱ֖לֹהִים נָכ֣וֹן לִבִּ֑י אָ֜שִׁ֗ירָה וַֽאֲזַמֵּֽרָה:

ט. ע֚וּרָה כְבוֹדִ֗י עוּרָ֣ה הַנֵּ֣בֶל וְכִנּ֑וֹר אָעִ֥ירָה שָּֽׁחַר:

י. אֽוֹדְךָ֖ בָֽעַמִּ֥ים | אֲדֹנָ֑י אֲ֜זַמֶּרְךָ֗ בַּֽלְאֻמִּֽים:

יא. כִּֽי־גָדֹ֣ל עַד־שָׁמַ֣יִם חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ וְֽעַד־שְׁחָקִ֥ים אֲמִתֶּֽךָ:

יב. ר֣וּמָה עַל־שָׁמַ֣יִם אֱלֹהִ֑ים עַ֖ל כָּל־הָאָ֣רֶץ כְּבוֹדֶֽךָ:

1. For the conductor, al tashcheth, of David a michtam, when he fled from before Saul in the cave.

2. Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me, because my soul took refuge in You, and in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge until the destruction passes.

3. I will call upon the Most High God, upon the God Who completes [what He promised] for me.

4. He will send from Heaven and save me from the disgrace of him who yearns to swallow me up forever; God will send His kindness and His truth.

5. My soul is among lions; I lie among men who are aflame; their teeth are [like] spears and arrows, and their tongue is [like] a sharp sword.

6. Be exalted above the heavens, O God; over all the earth be Your glory.

7. They prepared a net for my steps, he bent down my soul; they dug a pit before me, they will fall into it forever.

8. My heart is steadfast with God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises.

9. Awaken, my honor; awaken [me], lyre and harp; I will awaken the dawn.

10. I will thank You among the peoples, O Lord; I will sing Your praises among the kingdoms.

11. For Your kindness is great up to the heavens, and Your truth is up to the skies.

12. Be exalted above the heavens, O God, over all the earth be Your glory.
